Mythology of the Patalkot

In Patalkot, there is a 100 feet long and 25 feet wide cave, which is called Rajakhoh, under a huge bowl-shaped rock. It is said that Raja Raghuji of Nagpur rebelled against the policies of the British, but when the British became a threat to him, he took refuge in this cave. Since then this place was named Rajakhoh. Rajakhoh has huge trees and wild vines.
Another belief about the place is that Ravana’s son Meghnath went to Patal Lok from this place after worshiping Lord Shiva. Because of which it is said about this place that it is the door to go to Hades.

People of Patalkot

People used to live in this valley of Patalkot since ancient times. He was living his life with great difficulty. The government had no information about this valley. People live in this valley.

All the people who lived in this valley did not have any kind of facilities and they were living their life like this. But when the government came to know about this valley, then the government has made a good road here. Electricity has been arranged here and Anganwadi and school have been opened here for the education of the people. A hospital was opened here for treatment.

You get to see beautiful valleys on Patalkot. Here you get medicinal plants. You will find many people here who sit on the road and you get medicinal medicines. You will find many types of medicines here. You will get sugar medicine here. On this you get a medicinal wooden glass, in which you have to fill water and keep it for some time and you have to drink that water.
Due to which your sugar problem goes away. Here you will get medicine for back pain. You will get medicine for hand and foot pain. The people of the Bharia tribe who live here, collect herbs mixed with medicinal plants from the forests.

Patalkot is located in the Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. This place is situated in Tamia tehsil of Chhindwara. Patalkot is located at a distance of about 72 km from Chhindwara district and about 103 km from Pipariya. You can reach this place comfortably in your own car or you can also book a taxi to reach this place. If you come by train, you will have to come to Chhindwara Railway Station or Pipariya Railway Station. After that, you can reserve a cab to bring you here.
