Who were martyred during the wars

The 1947-48 Pakistan, 1962 China, 1999 Kargil, Operation Parakram in 2002-04, UN Peacekeeping Missions and counterinsurgency and other internal security operations, will be featured at the War Memorial.

The names of over 25,942 soldiers who sacrificed their lives in various wars and operations are inscribed on the walls of the Tyag Chakra.

Components:

The memorial consists of several components, including the Amar Chakra (Circle of Immortality), the Veerta Chakra (Circle of Bravery), the Tyag Chakra (Circle of Sacrifice), and the Raksha Chakra (Circle of Protection).
