Golden Triangle With Udaipur Itinerary:

Day 01: Delhi

Arrival at Delhi Airport / Railway Station and transfer to Hotel, check inn. Delhi, Delhi is a city that bridges two different worlds. Old Delhi, once the capital of Islamic India, is a labyrinth of narrow lanes lined with crumbling havelis and formidable mosques. In contrast, the imperial city of New Delhi created by the British Raj is composed of spacious, tree-lined avenues and imposing government buildings. Delhi has been the seat of power for several rulers and many empires for about a millennium. Many a times the city was built, destroyed and then rebuilt here. Interestingly, a number of Delhi's rulers played a dual role, first as destroyers and then as creators. Today, no any activities. over night stay at Hotel.

 

Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing

After breakfast sightseeing of Delhi. 

Highlights of The Day:

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib; is the most prominent Sikh gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship, in Delhi, India and known for its association with the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan, as well as the pool inside its complex, known as the "Sarovar. Jama Masjid, his great mosque of Old Delhi is the largest in India, with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees. It was begun in 1644 and ended up being the final architectural extravagance of Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor who built the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. Chandani Chowk Market by cycle rikshaw, Red Fort ( Closed on Monday), Built by Shahjahan, the builder of the Taj Mahal in Agra, The construction lasted from 1639 to 1648. Raj Ghat, The simple square platform of black marble marks the place where the father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Humayun Tomb, Built by Humayun's widow, Queen Haji Begum in the 16th centuary, it is supposed to be the prototype of the Taj Mahal at Agra. lunch at any good restaurant at your own. After lunch visit Qutab Minar,  Qutub Minar is an excellent example of Afghan Architecture. The Minar is 72.5mts high victory tower, the construction of which began in the final year of twelfth century by Qutubuddin Aibak and was later completed by his successor. It has been given World Heritage Site status. India Gate, At the center of New Delhi stands the 42 m high India Gate, an "Arc-de-Triomphe" like archway in the middle of a crossroad. Like its French counterpart, it commemorates the 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during the World War I. The memorial bears the names of more than 13,516 British and Indian soldiers killed in the Northwestern Frontier in the Afghan war of 1919.& Parliament & President House, The Parliament House is a cirular colonnaded building. It also houses ministerial offices, numerous committee rooms and an excellent library. Conceived in the Imperial Style, the Parliament House consists of an open verandah with 144 columns.

Day 03: Delhi - Agra

After breakfast drive to Agra, arrival and check inn to Hotel. 

Highlights of The Day, 

Agra Fort, The great Mughal Emperor Akbar commissioned the construction of the Agra Fort in 1565 A.D., although additions were made  till the time of his grandson Shah Jahan.

Taj Mahal, Completed in 1653 A.D., The Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as the final resting place for his favourite Queen, Mumtaz. Finished in by Marvel, it is perhaps India most fascinating and beautiful monument. This perfectly symmetrical monuments took 22 years (1630- 1652) of hard labour and 20,000 workers, Masons and Jewellers to built and is set amidst landscaped gardens.

Day 04: Agra - Fatehpur SIkri - Jaipur

After breakfast drive to Jaipur,arrival and check inn to Hotels.

Fatehpur Sikri, Fatehpur Sikri is an epic in red sandstone. A city of yeasteryear, today lost in the mists of time. Fatehpur Sikri was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar during 1564 A.D.. Mughal Emperor Akbar had no heir. He visited holy men to  enlist their prayers for his son. After reach at Jaipur time free at leisure.

Day 05: Jaipur Sightseeing

After breakfast sightseeing of Jaipur.

Amer Fort, ( Elephant ride),The Amber Fort set in picturesque and rugged hills is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Constructed by Raja Man Singh I in 1592 and completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh the fort was made in red sand stone and white marble. Jal Mahal Palace, Jal Mahal is a palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, India. The palace and the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. The Jal Mahal palace has got an eye-popping makeover. City Palace, Located in the heart of the walled city, the City Palace Complex gives you an idea about the farsightedness of the founder of Jaipur Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. He left behind a legacy of some of the most imposing and magnificent architecture in the city. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh built many buildings but some of the structures were also built by later rulers. Hawa Mahal, he poet king Sawai Pratap Singh built this palace of winds. This is  easily the most well-known landmarks of Jaipur and is also its icon. Located in the City Palace complex, it is best viewed from the road outside. This five-storey building overlooking the busy bazaar street is a fascinating example of Rajput architecture and artistry with its delicately honeycombed 953 pink sandstone windows known as 'jharokhas'.& Jantar Mantar. over night stay at Hotel.

 

Day 06: Jaipur - Udaipur

After breakfast drive to Udaipur, arrival and check inn to Hotel.over night stay at Hotel.

 

Day 07: Udaipur

After breakfast sightseeing of Udaipur.

Highlights of the Day,

City Palace, City Palace towers over the Pichola Lake. Maharana Udai Singh initiated the construction of the palace but successive Maharanas added several palaces and structures to the complex but retained remarkable uniformity in the design. The entry to the Palace is from the Hati Pol, the Elephant Gate. The Bari Pol or the Big Gate brings you to the Tripolia, the Triple gate. It was a custom to weigh the Maharaja under this gate in gold and silver, which was distributed to the populace. Crystal Gallery, Situated in the Fateh Prakash Palace, it has a 

breath taking collection of crystals. These were ordered by Maharana Sajjan Singh from F & C Osler England but could not live to see them because of his untimely death. The crystal items include tables, sofa sets, dining tables, dressers, fountains and even beds besides a whole array of washing bowls, decanters and perfume bottles. There is also an exquisite jewel studded carpet. Jag Mandir, This is the other island palace on Lake Pichola, which was constructed by Maharana Jagat Singh I in the year 1620AD. It also served as a hideout for Prince Khurram (Shah Jahan), during his revolt against his father, Emperor Jehangir. The prince being the son of a Rajput mother received the royal favour. It is also said that Shah Jahan [Prince Khurram] derived some of the ideas for building the Taj Mahal from architectural beauty of this palace when he stayed here during 1623-24. The island has some striking carvings including a row of elephants that look like guarding the island. The exquisitely carved chhatri in grey and blue stone also attracts the visitors. It is also the place where European families were sheltered by Maharana Sarup Singh during the uprising of 1857 AD. Lake Palace, The Lake Palace is located on Jag Niwas Island and covers the whole area (1.5 hectares) of the island in the middle of the Pichola Lake. Sajjangarh Palace, Built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1743, it was meant as a royal summer palace but now has been converted into a five star palace hotel, Sajjangarh Palce, Outside Udaipur, this 18th century palace was built by Maharaja Sajjan Singh at a height of 2268 ft on the top of Bansdara Mountain. It was originally intended to be a five storey astronomical centre but the plan was shelved due to premature death of the Maharaja. It was later used as a monsoon palace and hunting lodge. The palace majestically dominates the sky line and offers breath taking view of the countryside.  Over night stay at Hotel.

 

Day 08: Udaipur - Delhi/Departure

after breakfast transfer to Airport / Railwa Station to board flight/Train to next destination.
