Day 01: Delhi to Ajmer

Our Ajmer Pushkar car trip starts at 5.30 am. You will be picked from the GTB Nagar Metro Station by our cab and taken straightaway to Ajmer.

GTB Nagar Metro Station is on Yellow Line and is well connected with Rajiv Chowk Metro Station in New Delhi.

On the way, we will arrange your breakfast so you do not feel tired while traveling to Ajmer.

As soon as we arrive in Ajmer, we shall check into our three star hotel there. After relaxing, our guests shall be taken to the world-famous Moinuddin Chishti Dargah in the city. If you don’t know anything about Ajmer and Dargah, don’t worry, an English speaking guide will explain all the details to you.

It will take 2-3 hours at this dargah and after visiting this place, we shall go to a café and have snacks. In late evening at 11 pm, we will organize a small bonfire at our hotel, where you can chit chat with your friends and family.

About Moinuddin Chishti Dargah, Ajmer

• It has the grave of Moinuddin Chishti, one of the most famous Muslim saints.
• Chishti was born in 1141 in Iran and later came to Ajmer.
• The tomb of Moinuddin Chishti, also known as Garibnawaz, was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar.
• The dargah has several gifts offered by Mughal kings over the past 500 years.
• Entry to Ajmer Dargah is free.
• Though there is no dress code for Dargah, please wear simple clothes. Women should avoid wearing jewelry.

Day 02: Sightseeing and Back

Early next day after the wakeup call, we will take our guests to Pushkar. Since the drive time to Pushkar from Ajmer is only 35-40 mins, you will still be fresh when we arrive at this small religious town.

• Check in at the famous Pushkar Palace Hotel.
• You can get a marvelous view of the entire town from each and every room of the hotel.
• After having morning breakfast, we will all go to the world-famous Brahma Temple.
• A local guide will accompany you.

About Pushkar and Brahma Temple

• Pushkar is a very old town and it is mentioned in Ramayana and Mahabharat.

• Archaeologists have found several ancient scripts in and around Pushkar.

• Pushkar is also known for its annual animal fair during the autumn when more than 50,000 animals are traded.

• Pushkar is the only place in the entire world which as a temple devoted to Lord Brahma. The Brahma Temple in Pushkar is more than 2000 years old.

• Though the entry to Brahma Temple is free, make sure that you dress appropriately.

In the afternoon

After visiting Brahma Temple in Pushkar, we will have lunch and then proceed to Pushkar Lake.

• According to legends, Pushkar Lake was built by Lord Brahma while he was fighting a demon.
• This reservoir is constructed over Luni River which originates in North Rajasthan.

After we have explored the lake and taken photos, we will return to our hotel and then have evening tea.

In the evening at around 6 PM, we will drive back to Delhi where Japji Travels will drop us at the bus station.
