Rajasthan

Situated about 32 km away from town, this place has a lot of historical importance and used to be a favorite site of hunting for Bikaner's Maharajah. The sanctuary grounds were once the hunting arena for the Rajputs and for the British aristocracy (like Lord Elgin, Lord Mountbatten and Prince of Wales) but currently used in preserving a number of wild animals.

In the thickly forested hillock lie a number of wild creatures such as the foxes, wild fowls, boars, hares, antelopes and deer including the blackbucks, chinkaras and blue bulls or the Neelgai. The exclusive Imperial Sand grouse is spotted here at dawn or at dusk. Other migratory birds nest here during the winter months.

Apart from being a perennial favorite with the resident animal species, it also has a lake within the premises that adds to the natural beauty of the place. The administrators provide you Camel safari or jeep safari, sightseeing tour and nature walk; thereby giving you a wonderful chance to see and take amazing photographs.
