History of Lodi Garden:

This park, once known as Lady Willingdon Park, was developed in 1936 by the British and was later renamed Lodi Gardens after India’s independence. It contains structures of the 15th & 16th century such as the Mausoleum of Muhammad Shah Sayyid and Sikandar Lodhi who were notable monarchs of their reign. It is located in Delhi near Khan Market and was renovated in 1968 with a glass house, lake, and specialized gardens; however, the park is a historical site in Delhi undergoing progressive restoration by the Archaeological Survey of India at the moment.

Sheesh Gumbad	This tomb designed with Hindu-Islamic architecture with a touch of blue-tinted dome, is dominated by floral themes and Quranic text located right opposite Bara Gumbad in Lodi Gardens.
