Bahu Fort is Situated 5 kms from the city centre Jammu, Bahu Fort is stands on a rock and left side of the river Tawi. this oldest fort was constructed originally by Raja Bahulochan by since 3000 year ago. bahu fort inside situated a popular devi temple is also know Bave Wali Mata mandir. There is a temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali. An extensive terraced garden, known as Bagh-e-Bahu, has been developed around the fort. Its is the famous tourist attraction and religious place in Jammu and kashmir.
 The fort, situated with Bahu temple commands a panoramic view of the Jammu city, Fort behind the city forest surrounds the ancient Maha Maya Temple overlooking the River Tawi. A small garden surrounded by acres of woods furnishes a populated destination for tourists. Mahamaya temple is dedicated is the local goddess of the Dogras Devi.
