Achalgarh Fort History Rajasthan is another famous fort which is located near Mount Abu in Sirohi district. Mount Abu is also the only hill station in the state. Hanumanpol and Ganeshpol are two external entrances in the ramparts of the fort. On which the idols of Hanuman and Ganesha are installed. They have Kafur Sagar reservoir.Two Jain temples of Rishabhdev and Parshvanath and the temple of Kumbhaswamy built by Kumbha are also worth visiting in the fort.
The first gate of the Achal Garh fort is called Hanuman Pol and this Hanuman Pol serves as the entrance to the lower fort. It consists of two such towers which have been constructed by large blocks of granite, when you climb a little further then you see the second gate of this fort, which is named Champa Pol.

The fort of Achalgarh is located 13 km away from Abu on the top of the Aravalli range. The old fort of Abu was built by the Parmar rulers. In 1452 AD, Maharana Kumbha got Achalgarh built on the ruins of this ancient fort.
The other entrances of the fort are Champapol and Bhairavpol, entering which one can see the interior of the fort. Inside the fort there are ruins of Kumbha's Rajprasad, his Okha Rani's palace, granaries, soldiers' residences, huge tanks of water, Sawan Bhadon lake, danger tower built by Paramaras etc.
