Open the browser and visit the IRCTC website.

You will need to register and create your login ID if you are new to IRCTC. Registration on IRCTC is free. If you have already registered on the IRCTC website then log in to your account.

- You need to register on the IRCTC ticket booking portal and create your account.
- You cannot book tickets for more than six people in a month.
- You can book train tickets using IRCTC up to four months in advance.
- The ticket fare does not include reservation charges and GST. A ‘Superfast’ charge and a ‘Catering charge’ may be charged, and they may be optional according to trains.
- You cannot book a ticket through IRCTC from 11:45 pm to 12:20 am the next day.
