1. Enchey Monastery: - The literal meaning of Enchey Monastery is the Solitary Monastery. Enchey monastery is 200 years & old and located approximately 3 to 4 km northeast of Gangtok. The travel time is only one hour. The monastery is open between 9 am to 6 pm. There is no entry ticket. You all can enjoy festivals like Singhe Chaam, Chaam Dance & Pang Lhabsol.

The best to visit this monastery during its peak season in September and June. If you want to visit any other time you are most welcome.
2. Tsomgo Lake: - Tsomgo lake is famous because of the people of Sikkim. Sikkim people considered the lake holy water. Its distance is approx. 16.6 km to the Nathula Pass to reach Tsomgo Lake and after via Jawaharlal Road which will take around 30 min to reach.
Boat Rides and colorfully decorated yaks are offered at the lake side of the water. There are many stalls by the lake side of the water you can eat as well as you can enjoy the view. Snow boots and gumboots can be rented there.
You need to take permission one day before visiting Tsogo Lake. Nathula Pass is open for Indian Visitors for 5 days a week except for Monday & Tuesday.
Charges Per Person are 200Rs/-. The tour of Nathula can be done by Shared vehicle which would cost around RS900 to 1000 per person for attractions like Tsomgo Lake, Nathula, and Baba Mandir.
3. Rumtek Monastery: - Rumtek Monastery is the largest Monastery in Sikkim. It’s the home of monks of the Sikkim where they all perform their rituals and practice the Karma Kagyu lineage.
It is approx. 51 min (21.8) km from Gangtok. You can book private vehicles or you can share an economical vehicle. The monastery is open from 6 am to 6 pm and the entry price of per person is Rs10. Only 1-2 hours are required for visiting there.

4. Namgyal Insitute of technology: - The King of Sikkim, Tashi Namgyal, founded the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology in Gangtok in 1958. (1893 – 1963). It encourages the study of the Sikkimese population's religion, culture, language, art, and history. This is part of the Tibetan cultural region.
It takes 8 min (2.2) km to reach there. It is located within walking distance you can easily visit the institute.
It opens on weekdays for the Public between 10 am – 4 pm. And it is closed on weekends Saturday – Sunday and all the Public Holidays. Entry fees for per person is Rs 10/-.
5. Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok:- It is a quint-top hill temple with a very elegant view. It is 7200 ft above and 11 km away from Gangtok town. Hanuman Tok and Ganesh Tok are two different Temples. Hanuman Tok lies four kilometers above than Ganesh Tok. You can reach Hanuman Tok in 7 minutes, it is in walking Distance.
There are no entry charges. It is open between 5 am to 7 pm.
